Hiya bookish people!

I have to apologise so much to Beck, I had gotten tagged in these so long ago and they just sat there for way too long, and so I am merging the two awards from Beck into one!

  1. Provide the link to the creator’s original award post. (Make sure to check out the original award post here!)
  2. Answer the questions provided.
  3. Create 7 unique questions.
  4. Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you, can be nominated.
  5. At the end of 2020, every blog that pingbacks the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award!

🥇 Listen to these three songs. That’s it.  Tell  me  why :

  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htTa6piZWl4&app=desktop
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svj1bZz2mXw&app=desktop
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeBc-c1Yang

My reactions :

  1. Queen! Yess!!!
  2. This . . . upsets me greatly, Beck. It truly does.
  3. I mean, I listened to them because you told me to, silly goose!

🥇 Go into your closet, pick up a piece of trash (you know there’s something hiding in there: even skeletons litter!) and eat it. What did it taste like?

I can’t say that I’ve had this request before, but I am very lucky I have a stash of peanut butter in my cupboard otherwise I may have had to try some lint. ( Note : I’ve done it before, wasn’t a fan of the texture )

🥇 Insert a meme into your post

Here is a meme :

🥇 Ask the family member close enough to hit and ask them of their opinion on Tow Mater actually being the savior of the world

I personally agree with the above statement. However. However. My brother, the wonderful person he is, called me a weirdo. I shall never recover from this new and original insult.

🥇 Find your 17th DVD. What is it? What’s your review of the movie/TV?

My seventeenth DVD is . . . Moulin Rouge. Honestly, I used to watch this movie on repeat as a kid so am gonna be giving it a 9 / 10, the one point taken off is because I can’t remember a single thing about it.

🥇 Take these quizzes and tell me your results:

My results :

  1. Which Pixar Movie Are You?
  2. Liz

🥇 Seven

🥇 I’m sorry I can’t finish I’m too hung up on the Arnold/Rush thing I’m sorry

A Smaugette is… I don’t even know. I just came up with it randomly like eight months ago and I don’t know why I did? I just did. Anyway, this tag is for people who are generally amazing. And that’s all of y’all.

And if you like Halloween and dragons and glow in the dark then HEy even better

  1. Tag the creator (meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!)
  2. Make sure you have the rules and smaugette definition in your post!
  3. Tag 10 fantastic friends you believe are worthy of this prEsTigIoUs AwArD
  4. Answer the questions I have!
  5. Make sure you put the award in the post so people can bask in its fabulousness
  6. Give them a new thing to try (if they want) and (if you want) try the one I’ve given you!

🐉 What is a random hill you would die on? (ex- peanut butter and jelly are fake-dating to keep the public happy but they really hate each other)

Okay, so I can’t steal Becks but I totally agree that they are fake dating. Who pairs together that unproblematically without behind-the-curtain drama!?
Right, my one. Hmmm. I think I have to die on the hill that mustard isn’t a sauce. It just isn’t okay?! It is more of a . . . spread. You spread it on sandwiches or certain mustards with certain steaks! It’s a spread and this is the hill I will die on.

🐉 What are you being for Halloween?

I am thinking of going as some sort of forest-nymph/fae/creature or witch, but I am not sure which yet. Thinking there might be a way to cross them over? I will realistically end up crashing at a friends house after watching scary movies which means no costume, anyway.
Halloween seems less fun every year.

🐉 Tell us about your favourite article of clothing and possibly (??) include a picture.

Yes! Okay, so I don’t get to wear this often ( haven’t actually worn it out yet but there is always a possibility! ) but I bought it at a second-hand store when I was in the UK for £5! ( at the time this was like $10 nzd ) Here, you’d be lucky to not have someone take this back to a ball-gown store where they will sell it for $90 upwards.

🐉 What’s your favourite Thanos quote? Palpatine quote? Any quote?

How about all three?

Thanos: “You have my respect, Stark. When I’m done, half of humanity will still be alive. I hope they remember you.” This one because it showed us that Thanos, although the villain of the narrative, is scarily understandable. This also shows him to be, well, human. He isn’t, but you get the picture.

Palpatine: “UNLIMITED POWER!” purely because my boyfriend consistently sends me this GIF and if I used any other quote he would be sorely disappointed.

Any quote: “This reminded me of you.” Which has been said by a lot of people, but it could be in anger or in love or in friendship and it’s awesome that the universe created people in such a way that we can be reminded of each other by seemingly meaningless things.

🐉 Who or what inspires you?

Cheesy, but everything. There is something to learn from every song, tv episode, movie, the action of others and riddle. And each of these messages, or the knowledge that these messages exist, inspires me to keep moving in the world to hear more of them.

🐉 What’s your top five favourite memes?

🐉 Who is your favourite fictional dragon? (besides Smaug, of course)

Definitely Damsel by Elana K. Arnold is my answer for this one. She put a very unique spin onto dragons for me, but I definitely have to add a warning because this book was super dark. Like, put down and take a step back when you need to dark.

Toothless being a close second

🐉 Top 5 favourite books right now? (I need some recs)

Hmm, bad person to ask since I haven’t read anything in ages! Okay, here it goes.

  1. The Host by Stephenie Meyer ( a personal fave! )
  2. House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig ( my absolute favourite book )
  3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas ( because I love the series and this book intro’d me to it )
  4. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater ( same reason as ToG )
  5. Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly ( mermaids! )

🐉 What is your ideal novel?

Hmm. I can’t really define that. I think that it would have to be one you enjoy and want to talk about because if it’s perfect it’s almost boring?

🐉 What memory would you think of to cast a Patronus?

Definitely being in the park, reading my first chapter book unguided, and my first comments on AFCTL.

You are tagged with both of ’em but if you only wanna do one, please do the Smaugette one!

  1. Alexandra
  2. Aditi
  3. Sophie
  4. Lucy
  5. Allison
  6. Lais
  7. April Lee
  8. Virginia
  9. Emme
  10. Belle

Screamcatcher: The Shimmering Eye

Eighteen-year-old Jory Pike, a half-blood Chippewa, is depending upon her Native ancestry to help her investigate one of the strangest hauntings she’s ever encountered. A 500-plus acre ranch in rural Montana is under psychic and physical attack. The ranch’s owner, the elderly Ambrose Tucker, is determined to hold steadfast and courageously to his beloved property. Answering an ad in Jory’s outfit, The Badlands Paranormal Society, Ambrose hopes to rid his property of evil spirits once and for all.
Jory and her crew of three other teenagers, each of whom bring to the table their own line of skills and expertise, have brought every known piece of hardware and technical equipment to Granite Springs Ranch. Although the assignment seems ordinary at first, and the answer to the haunting seems eminent, everything spirals out of control and leaves the team terrified. The problem is, they have no idea that they’re being outclassed and sabotaged by a malevolent spirit, who seems to know their every move.
If Jory and the Badlands Paranormal Society don’t solve the problem in quick fashion, they stand to lose the $50,000 extermination fee, but worst of all, they will allow a dangerous and unmerciful entity to unleash a hoard of vicious mythological creatures that will run rampant over the ranch and surrounding properties. Jory has no idea how she and her teammate’s mettle will be tested, bringing them near the edge of insanity, physical endurance and death.
