Hiya bookish people!

I was tagged by Lauren way too long ago, and I only am getting to this now. Sorry Lauren!

Disturbed by a series of ghostly visions, Annaleigh becomes increasingly . . .

Biggest disappointment?

📚       I don’t know what else I can say other than my Lockdown here in NZ due to COVID. It could have been so much worse and seeing the way the world reacted and was impacted was really hard to see.

📚       I got a boyfriend?!

Favourite post you have done this year?

📚       Barbie Movies as YA Books, a list

Hiya bookish people!
As a kid, I loved Barbie, and I don’t know many other people who didn’t. Heck, I still watch it now, when I get the chance. And with recently ordering my physical copy of House of Salt and Sorrows, I felt it only fair to compile a list. Lists are cool.
I’ve written down the books that remind me of my favourite Barbie movies, of which there are four. Some of these are retellings, and some of these just had really strong vibes that made me think of these movies, or the books while . . .

    1. Hmmmm.
Favourite Twilight book is Eclipse, but favorite movie is the original. It’s the blue! Catherine Hadwick should have done all of them – it would have been so cool to have the blue disappear when Bella became a vamp!

      1. Oooh, Eclipse is a great choice! That would be my second favorite, Twilight has to be my favorite book and move❤️ Yesss, Hadwick should have continued to do the rest of the series!

  1. Oh my gosh – I must have watched Twilight at least twice this year. That blue filter is ICONIC. And the soundtrack. And the baseball scene. Basically, a cinematic masterpiece. 😉

AND I’M SO HAPPY THAT HOUSE OF SALT AND SORROW MADE IT TO THE BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR MANTEL! AHHHHHHH! [Literally just started re-reading and Cassius just strut his way onto the scene *swoon*]. I was so worried you wouldn’t like it after I screamed about it too you for so long! LOL! 💙

How?? I loved it so freaking much! I am gonna reread it this year, too!

  2. Thank you so much for the tag and sorry for the incredibly late response to it. I know we’re in 2021 now but I’m still doing this!! Although I am going through my tags in order so it’ll be a little while before I get to this one.

I can’t believe that I still haven’t read House Of Salt & Sorrows. Although I have just read two other books from last year that I was desperate for so hopefully I’ll get to it soon. Have you heard about the authors 2021 release? I’m so intrigued by it!!
I also can’t believe that I still haven’t read The Raven Cycle and Serpent & Dove. This year I will though as I’m itching to read both.
Ooh did you get around to reading These Vengeful Hearts or not?
    Hope you’re well (:

You need to ! I loved it so much and would love to hear your thoughts.
      Hope you’re doing well, hon.
I haven’t yet, no, but soon!

      1. Omg I’m so, so sorry for the super late reply. And I get the feeling, I’ve just had to get my anticipated releases posts organized from half way through last year to now 🙈 I’d have left them and started over when I returned but they were mostly half done or more.
I’ll let you know when I read it. I did get on and read her second book when my copy arrives though and loved that. So I seriously need to get on with her debut too.
Thank you. I’m good thanks, just haven’t read in a few weeks thanks to the headache from hell, then getting sidetracked organizing my backlist of posts. Fingers crossed I’ll start again this week.
Its also been a crazy year tbh. Some major high points but horrible lows too.
        Hope you’re well too 💓💓
