Hiya bookish people!

Long time no see? I got back from the UK on the 14th of January NZ time, and the jetlag kinda knocked me over to be honest. So here is a 1:30am rambling review for y’all! First of all, I wanna thank everyone who commented while I was away, specifically Sophie, Aditi and Charlotte! Coming home to all those beautiful comments in my inbox was overwhelming and I loved seeing them there! I am still kinda replying to a lot of them, so please excuse if my messages are a bit delayed for the next week while I unpack and get my shite together.

So, my trip

(These pictures are all mine, so please be kind!)

I went to the UK! I had such an amazing time and have a wonderful set of photos to show all of you! Of course they are culled to some of the better ones, but hopefully my camera work isn’t too bad. I spent nearly a month away from home, and there were quite a few things I missed, mainly the sun. Christmas for me has always been summer, so it was a shock. I loved the trip so much though, and can’t wait to go back! I might start looking into college or university there since I am almost out of highschool and England has so many amazing publishing opportunities.

Anyway, off with the rambling! We first flew into London and spent four days there, going on a hop-on-hop-off tour bus, going to the Portobello markets, going on the tube. It was a busy few days and I loved every moment of it, if only the walls could talk. I’m sure they’d have so many things to tell, and some amazing stories that have been lost through the years. I think you could probably spend your whole life in London and still not see everything!

After we left London, we headed to Dorset to stay with some family. I got to see so many beautiful little day trips to places such as Shaftesbury, Courfe, Miton Abbas, Poole, Bath and quite a few more. I swear that I felt like I had stepped straight into a pop-up picture book with all of these amazing thatched roofs, and horses around and hills to climb.

Between my stay in Dorset, I also went away to a beautiful lodge for New Years Eve, and Paris for three nights! Paris was beautiful, and I have always wanted to go. Seeing so many landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, shanzelize, the Louvre, sacre coeur and quite a few more.

When the time came to go home, I spent so long in England that it felt like I had never arrived but that I lived there for so long. And yet on the road home from the airport (after two long haul flights, heck my back hurt) I also felt that we had only just got in the car to go away. It was an amazing experience, and I hope everyone enjoys all the photos I have shown above!

My Sudden Departure…

Yeah, in short I was just embarrassed that I quit on Blogmas so suddenly, and so I avoided the blog until I got back. I didn’t need to be worried though, you guys are amazing!

I’ll see you between the pages.
