I am going to be on holiday in the UK over Christmas (Yay!) and I won’t be able to do a lot of blog hopping or replying to comments, but I would still love it if you do comment! I will reply ASAP when I get back !

This is my fifth Blogmas post for 2019!! XThis post has a bunch of ideas for some gift ideas to give to your book-loving friends!

We all know how hard it is to buy for ourselves when it comes to books. We also know how awkward it is when we are gifted a book that we would normally never read, already have or anything of the like. But fear not! I have compiled this post for you to send on to your friends, family, and peers so that you can be prepared for the book giving season – I mean Christmas!

🌷 A Voucher 🌷

You will find it very hard to go wrong with a voucher. You can buy them online for specific stores, go into stores so that you can get it yourself and personalise it, or even make your own! I know that Book Depository doesn’t do vouchers, so you can always make a lovely hand-made voucher for them to cash in with you at any time!

🌷 Games 🌷

Yes, games. Do you know how many Lego sets and board games and card games there are for different fandoms? I mean, look at Harry Potter alone! Or, if you can’t find any, make one! I’m not saying you need to create a new game with new names (although if you do, you are my idol for having new ideas), you can take a game you love, such as Monopoly, and change the names and titles a little bit for your own personal use!

🌷 Mugs and Cups 🌷

We can never get enough of themed mugs and cups! We use them for decor, storage, and drinking out of! So go and buy a themed mug, buy 20! Buy 30! (Yes I have a mug problem). Red Bubble does amazing mugs that aren’t officially from the publishers, especially if the book isn’t a two-year-runner for the NYBest Seller List. You can also look on Etsy and other similar stores, which is a great way to help support small businesses!

🌷 Subscription Box 🌷

I don’t know if I am just oblivious, or if they really have blown up recently, but subscription boxes are another way to go. These may be a little bit higher up on the budget since you may have to pay for international shipping, but they are sure to make the receiver happy! You can get books, clothes, jewelry and prints from these amazing boxes, and there are so many to choose from.

🌷 Enamel Pins 🌷

Enamel pins are a slightly cheaper gift that are another cute and fun gift. You can even buy an embroidery hoop for them to display them on however they wish, or you can create a display of your own to give them! RedBubble and Etsy are probably the best places to get enamel pins, they have such a wide range that don’t have to be dedicated to books!

🌷 Prints 🌷

That’s right, prints. Either to print out a lot and create a scrapbook showing their favourite characters, or a poster, or a framed piece you found online, a print is sure to help the receiver remember their favourite characters. Prints are also a subtle and yet beautiful way to amp up your bookshelves, walls or desks!

🌷 Special Editions 🌷

Again, you have to be super careful when buying a book-lover an actual book. If you are sure this is the way you want to go, try getting them a special edition of a book they love! They’ll treasure it and be constantly reminded of you when they read one of their favourite books!

🌷 Colouring Books 🌷

If you’ve got a friend who loves to do some art, then a colouring book paired to their favourite fandom is maybe the way to go! A lot of different series have colouring books that you can buy online, and if not, artists tend to do a lot of line art which you can print out and put in a folder for the recipient to use!

Well, there’s my list! I hope that this is helpful for everyone!

  1. So many lovely, unique ideas!! I think a voucher is so nice because then they get to go out and buy something they really like. Plus it is like an extra present after Christmas, right?!? 😂
I love the games which have fandom links, they are so cool and I want one!!
As I’ve mentioned I really love mugs and pins, they are so many pretty ones out there!!

  3. This was a wonderful post with a lot of good ideas in it 💕 I love looking at mugs but atm I don’t have any bookish ones. The closest I have is an Anne Stokes fairy one which I love. I’ve never paid much attention to the pins but I saw some really lovely ones on Sophie’s post so now I’m going to have to keep an eye out for them. And I love how creative some of your suggestions are too. Id love Harry Potter Monopoly but I don’t think they make it atm. I’d never have thought of creating it myself. I kind of think it’d turn out terribly if I tried but I’m tempted to now 😅 if I do attempt to make one I’ll send a picture of the, probably awful, result 😂 colouring books are a great option too, I actually want to get The Throne Of Glass one sometime. And several others i think. I love how many are out there.

      1. That sounds pretty! The Wrensdale mugs are so beautiful.
I do, I have a Harry Potter mug that has some new parts of the Mauraders map show up when it has a hot drink inside.
